EP. 120 Therapeutic Artistry And Discernment With MFR Therapist Tara Carrington

Our guest today is Tara Carrington.

Tara is an Occupational Therapist who has been practicing Barnes method MFR since 2003. She discovered MFR as a patient, and after experiencing its potency for pain relief through mind-body discovery, she left her traditional hospital-based job to pursue training. She bought her table in the midst of her first MFR Series and has been practicing MFR exclusively since then.

In her time as an ongoing student, an instructor, a study group leader, and a mentor, Tara has developed a keen interest in helping fellow therapists tune into their unique expression of intuition, compassion, presence, and artistry. She believes these qualities distinguish the master from the technician, and she is adamant that they can be actively developed and nurtured.

After serious illness led to the closing of her clinical practice, she suddenly had time to focus on developing coursework to help fellow therapists find and express their unique expression of artistry. She is currently offering the Therapeutic Artistry Discernment Series, a short term, focused, 1:1 mentorship in which she curates practices to be used both in and out of the treatment room to deepen presence, intuition, and effective dialoguing.
