When you decide to stop being a generalist and commit to an MFR specialist practice, everything changes. In this episode of The MFR Coach Podcast, Heather talks with Kathryn Adams, owner of Whole Body Healing in Las Vegas, about how she shifted from half massage, half MFR to a fully booked MFR specialist practice that feels calm, profitable, and sustainable.
Inside Foundations, Kathryn cleaned up her policies, tightened her schedule, and rebuilt her MFR specialist practice on purpose. She made back her coaching investment in seven weeks and now hears new clients say, “I came because I needed a specialist.” This conversation shows you what is possible when you stop waiting to be chosen and choose to become the MFR specialist in your community.
When Kathryn joined Foundations, her practice was half massage and half MFR. She knew she wanted a pure MFR specialist practice but did not have a plan for how to get there. She had stopped taking new massage clients at her office, yet she was still doing in-home massage sessions on the side and felt like she was running a second job.
Inside the program, she made the decision to fully claim her identity as an MFR specialist. That decision shaped her pricing, her policies, and the way she talked about her work online and in person.
A single no call no show after nearly 18 years in the field became a turning point. Kathryn realized she had written policies but no way to enforce them. As she imagined being fully booked in an MFR specialist practice, she could see how one weak policy could become a major problem.
Foundations helped her tighten those policies, decide what she would and would not tolerate, and implement systems that made it simple to enforce her boundaries. That shift supported her emotionally and financially as demand increased.
Kathryn stopped treating the first appointment as “just a session” and turned it into a structured evaluation. She now combines:
This structure allows her to show up as the MFR specialist in the room. Clients leave understanding what MFR is, why her hands stay in one place, and how a series of treatments will help them get results that last.
Before coaching, Kathryn showed too much availability, which made it harder for clients to commit and left her feeling on call. Inside Foundations she decided how many clients she wanted to see each week, tightened her schedule, and built in generous buffer time between sessions so she could chart, reset, and be present.
She now works within clear hours, often sees three to four clients a day, and uses extra time to track packages, support clients, and care for herself. Her income is aligned with the number of clients she wants to see, not the maximum she can physically handle.
One of Kathryn’s biggest changes was how she tracks money and packages. She simplified her spreadsheets, started using Google Sheets on her phone, and now records package payments as a single income event rather than dividing them across sessions. That simple system makes it easy to sell packages as an MFR specialist and keep her books clean without spending hours at her desk.
Katherine’s next chapter includes staying fully booked as an MFR specialist while honoring a schedule that supports her energy and family. She plans to keep refining her systems, strengthening her policies, and growing her online presence through education and content that positions her as the go to MFR therapist in her community.
If you want to grow a fully booked MFR specialist practice without burning out, you do not have to figure it out on your own. Foundations is where you learn the business, sales, and mindset skills that support a calm, profitable MFR practice.
